St. Mary’s school was started in 1939 by the Holy ghost Fathers. Since then the school has maintained very strong traditions.
At Senior school we provide post primary education with 3 programs running concurrently i.e the  Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (4 year programme), the  International General Certificate for Secondary Education(4 year program) and the International Baccalaureate  (2 year program).
Our school motto summarises all that we do at school. Bonitas, Disciplina, Scientia, Latin words that mean Goodness, discipline and knowledge.
The school built on  a Catholic foundation believes in tolerance, freedom within discipline and cultivation of a sense of personal responsibility. We continually stress the importance of honesty, trust, fairness and self-discipline, mutual respect to our students.
Ours is a liberal academic education that recognizes the strength of every student and encourage the development of the whole student, through the many talents that they have in sports, music and drama.
Our school traditionally has only 2 rules, Love of God and of neighbour.  This tradition and the spirit of tolerance, respect, freedom and responsibility is very unique to St. Mary’s making it a school of choice to many parents.A good choice.
