Staging of musicals is a longstanding Saints tradition dating back to 1971, when the Mikado was performed. Other musicals staged in the past include Yaomen of Guard (1974), The King and I (1985, 2004), Sound of Music (1998), Sarafina (1998), Cinderella (2001), The Music Man (2005), Ipi Ntombi (2007) and Umoja (2008) among many others .It is from the annual staging of these musicals that we have been able to identify and grow artistic talent. We have also staged the famous musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat twice. When the school previously staged the same musical in 1995 it was ranked as one of the best amateur performances
